ICSI hires Carmichael Lynch Spong for project work

Turkey hires Edelman for Obama visit

WASHINGTON: The government of Turkey hired Edelman for media relations and influencer outreach during President Barack Obama’s visit to the country, according to the US Department of Justice Web site. Work on the $117,000 account began April 4.

Ogilvy promotes Reihl to NY consumer group director

NEW YORK: Ogilvy PR Worldwide appointed Bill Reihl, EVP and group director of the New York consumer marketing practice. In this position, Reihl’s responsibilities will include oversight of the group and new business development. He will also add to strategic and creative development across practices. Previously, Reihl served as EVP in strategy and planning in the Atlanta office.

TeleTech selects SSA as AOR

MS&L awarded GSA certification

WASHINGTON: The US General Services Administration (GSA) awarded certification to MS&L Worldwide on April 14 for advertising and integrated marketing solutions, according to a federal filing. The GSA is a federal agency that oversees government contracts.

Publicis acquires Swiss digital agency Nemos

PARIS: Publicis Groupe has acquired Nemos, a 10-person Zurich-based digital agency specializing in multimedia and flash programming. Pascal Urscheler, former CEO of Nemos, and Marion Marxer, senior brand director of Publicis in Zurich, will co-lead the agency and report to Freddy Collioud, president of Publicis Switzerland. Nemos will be integrated into Publicis Modem Switzerland and aligned with Publicis Modem, the digital branch of the company’s global network.

Volume adds six AOR accounts

Vogel rejoins Sitrick as practice leader

NEW YORK: Tom Vogel rejoined Sitrick and Company as practice leader for capital markets and Latin America, effective April 13. He will focus on media strategy development and crisis communications, with emphasis on financial markets and the Latin American region. These were his focus areas during his previous two-year stint with Sitrick. Vogel left in mid-2006 to work with the investment banking unit of Barclays Capital. He also has more than 20 years experience as a journalist including coverage of credit markets for The Wall Street Journal and spent 12 years living in Peru, Venezuela, and Brazil.
