Cece Feinberg Public Relations to represent Magnes Sisters

NEW YORK, NY: Cece Feinberg Public Relations announced that it will be representing Magnes Sisters, a New York based line of designer handbags.

Beginning this month Cece Feinberg will launch an ongoing media campaign to promote Magnes Sisters as a leader in the fashion accessories market. The new campaign will begin by introducing members of the fashion and lifestyle press to the Magnes Sisters collection.

Exits at Valentino

NEW YORK: Carlos Souza, Valentino’s VP of worldwide PR, left the company’s New York office on December 18, with his contract expiring on January 1. Souza has worked for Valentino for over 20 years, and his position will not be filled.

Daniela Giardina, Valentino’s longtime director of global communications in Rome, will also exit the company after the January couture show.

Kaplow assisting client Burlington Coat Factory with coat drive

NEW YORK, NY: Kaplow is assisting with a “Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive” for its client Burlington Coat Factory, along with nonprofit organization One Warm Coat. Good Morning America is the exclusive media partner of the coat drive, which was kicked off with actor Ben Affleck making the first donation on December 6. The drive will go on until January 31st, and drop-offs can be made at Burlington Coat Factory stores around the country, as well as outside Good Morning America’s Times Square studio location.

LOS ANGELES, CA: Glyderm has selected Pierce Mattie PR to be the AOR for their beauty PR campaign throughout 2008. Pierce Mattie will help Glyderm gain exposure for their current line of dermatological products and their upcoming Gly7 products. LA Boxing health and fitness club has also chosen the agency to spearhead their PR campaign next year. Pierce Mattie will assist LA Boxing in publicity efforts for their 94 franchise locations across the country, as well as their upcoming fashion apparel line that will launch in 2008. In its NY office, the firm has been appointed by Earth Therapeutics to continue to lead their beauty PR campaign for a third year.

Paul Gallagher joins Burson-Marsteller’s issues & advocacy practice

WASHINGTON: Burson-Marsteller has named Paul Gallagher a managing director within the issues & advocacy practice. Gallagher will co-lead the agency’s crisis team in the US with managing director Karen Doyne, and the pair will report to global EVP Josh Gottheimer.

Gallagher joins Burson from MS&L, where he was director of media strategy. Previously, he spent 10 years as producer for Mike Wallace at 60 Minutes.

Pierce Mattie PR promotes staff

LOS ANGELES:Pierce Mattie Public Relations has promoted Kim Tobman from senior account executive to account director. Tobman has worked with clients like Old Navy, Guess handbags, and ReVive Skin Care.

In its NY office, the agency has also promoted Ivy Cartagena to senior account executive. Cartagena deals with accounts such as Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics and Ojon Hair Care.
