Crosby-Volmer expands Memphis office - adds senior executive

Washington, DC: Crosby-Volmer International Communications appointed Lori Guyton as senior VP of the Memphis office. Guyton, whose 20 years of experience in PR and communications include managing global PR for Houston-based Stanford Financial Group, will serve as lead account director to the company’s multi-national clients.

Maoz Vegetarian picks Pitch Control PR for AOR

J. Stokes & Associates appoints PR director

WALNUT CREEK, CA: J. Stokes & Associates appointed Deborah Mullan account director for the agency’s PR division. Mullan previously worked as a former independent consultant and principal of Coast2Coast PR, and prior to that she was VP and group manager within the technology practice at Ketchum. She will play an integral part in the firm’s business development as it nationally expands its client base.

Harvard Business creates chief comms officer position

BOSTON: Harvard Business School named Brian Kenny its chief marketing and communications officer in a newly created role. He was previously the VP of marketing and communications at Northeastern University, and prior to that he oversaw global marketing for management consultant firm, The Monitor Group. In his new role, Kenny will focus on the planning and implementation of all the school’s marketing, communications, and PR efforts on a global scale.

Pelican Products selects CRT/Tanaka

RICHMOND, VA: Pelican Products, a manufacturer of lighting, retained CRT/Tanaka to handle strategic national business and consumer media relations outreach, integrated marketing, and to support PR efforts for global expansion. Pelican was acquired in 2005 by private-equity firm Behrman Capital.
