ST. LOUIS: Francine Katz, the VP of communications and consumer affairs for Anheuser-Busch, is leaving the company as of December 31. Katz, who has been with the company for 20 years, was a media representative for Anheuser-Busch and helped increase the company’s social responsibility efforts. A statement from Anheuser-Busch did not say why Katz was leaving.
Villeneuve to lead PR in NA for InBev’s Anheuser Busch
ST. LOUIS: James Villeneuve was tapped as VP of corporate affairs for the North American zone of Anheuser-Busch InBev. The AB board recently accepted the merger in which AB and its brands like Budweiser will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belgium-based InBev. InBev shareholders had approved the deal in September. Villeneuve will oversee PR, external communications, and other duties. Currently, Villeneuve is VP of global corporate affairs for InBev.
Brunswick working InBev’s Anheuser-Busch takeover
WASHINGTON: The Brunswick Group is advising InBev on the Belgium-based brewer’s bid to acquire Anheuser-Busch, according to Marianne Amssoms, InBev VP, global external communications. The proposed $46.4 billion unsolicited takeover, which InBev notified Anheuser-Busch’s board of directors on June 11, would create the world’s largest brewer.
