NEW YORK: PR Newswire (PRN) has appointed Ninan Chacko its new CEO. He will take the post in late March following the planned retirement of current CEO Charles Gregson. Gregson and Chacko will work closely between now and then in the interest of a “smooth transition,” according to a company release. Chacko will report to David Levin, CEO of United Business Media, PRN’s parent company. Most recently, Chacko was chief commercial officer of Worldspan, an international travel information and technology company. He also spent 13 years with Sabre Holdings, and led the development, launch, and operation of the company’s hotel merchant business while serving as SVP. Gregson has worked at UBM for more than 35 years, and spent the last four as CEO. He will return to the UK and work at the parent company for the remainder of the year.
