ATLANTA: NewsCertified Exchange hired Rusty Dornin, a former CNN correspondent who left the network in 2008, as SVP. NewsCertified Exchange is an online resource linking journalists and experts. The site’s Expert Data Base is in a testing phase and should soon be operational.
GLASTONBURY, CT: Cashman & Katz hired Shane Wirta as VP, group media director, effective December 1. Wirta oversees the firm’s media department, including the group’s planning activities. Wirta worked with Cashman & Katz 11 years ago and left for in-house positions. Most recently, he was manager of advertising, sports, and events marketing at Bob’s Stores.

WALTHAM, MA: RedEgg Solutions launched MyMediaInfoon September 16. MyMediaInfo is a North American directory of media members with contact information, beats, story ideas from 400,000 editorial calendars, and award opportunities. It is available in software as a service (SaaS) format.
Everett named News Corp. chief spokesperson
NEW YORK: Teri Everett, SVP of corporate affairs and communications, has been promoted to chief spokesperson for News Corp. She was formerly the company’s top spokesperson on the West Coast. Everett replaces Andrew Butcher, who is leaving the company to return to Australia. Julie Henderson will assume Everett’s old position in Los Angeles.
