Bloomberg hires former McCain comms director
NEW YORK: Michael Bloomberg, the New York City mayor running for re-election, has hired Jill Hazelbaker, for his campaign, according to several media sources. She is the former national communications director for Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign. According to The New York Times, Hazelbaker will work as a media strategist and spokesperson under Howard Wolfson, whom Bloomberg hired in late 2008. Wolfson is the former communications chief for then Senator Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
