Publicis acquires Brazilian digital agency

PARIS: Publicis Groupe has acquired Sao Paulo-based digital agency Tribal. The Tribal brand will remain, and the firm will be aligned with the Digitas global network. Tribal, which has 100 employees, specializes in a variety of services including strategic brand planning and interactive campaigns. Among its clients are Chrysler, Whirlpool, and Microsoft. CEO Pierre Mantovani and chief creative officer Renato Fabri will continue to run the firm, reporting to François de La Villardière, CEO of Digitas Latin America.

Dukas launches DPRI

NEW YORK: Dukas Public Relations (DPR) has launched Dukas Public Relations Interactive (DPRI), a digital communications services division. The area will provide a range of online PR services including SEO services and technology, strategic social media engagement, and online monitoring and engagement.

Porter Novelli hires McCormick

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has hired Brad McCormick to join as EVP ofUS digital communications. McCormick will oversee the design, development, and implementation of Web applications, interactive strategies, and integrated campaigns. McCormick joins Porter Novelli from Ruder Finn Interactive, where he was a founding member of the boutique. He most recently served as SVP and director of client services, spearheading numerous digital campaigns.

Douma joins H&K
