Akre joins Nokia
HELSINKI, FINLAND: Brian Akre has joined Nokia’s corporate communications team as director of speaker services at the company’s Helsinki headquarters. Akre will oversee the company’s executive speechwriting team and support the speaking appearances of President and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. He previously was senior media strategist and director of executive communications for General Motors Corp. in Detroit. He also has nearly 20 years experience as a journalist, mostly with The Associated Press.
