NIDCD launches tween hearing campaign

BETHESDA, MD: The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, a division of the National Institutes of Health, launched a campaign October 2 to raise awareness among parents of tweens about hearing loss due to loud noise. The campaign, ”It’s a Noisy Planet. Protect Their Hearing,” includes a Web site with games and other interactive information for tweens - 8 to 12 year olds - as well as advice and prevention tactics for parents. The organization is not working with an agency.
