Climate change social network for teens launches

MENLO PARK, CA: Inconvenient Youth, a social network for teens that aims to address global warming, launched August 15 with Burson-Marsteller providing support. Mary Doerr, a high school senior, is the founder of the organization, which is affiliated with the Alliance for Climate Protection, an effort founded by Al Gore. The nonprofit is planning grassroots efforts to organize young people to take action within their communities on environmental issues. Campus climate clubs and video with elected officials are also among its plans.
