California selects DCI for tourism
SACRAMENTO, CA: The California Travel and Tourism Commission (CTTC) selected Development Counsellors International (DCI), a travel specialist PR firm, to promote the state as a tourist destination to consumers in the US and Canada. The work will be handled out of DCI’s New York and Los Angeles offices and will involve traditional media relations as well as new media and other non-traditional consumer related promotions, according to Andrew Levine, president and chief creative officer at DCI. It is a one-year contract, with work set to begin July 1.
Edelman, the incumbent on the account since 2003, had previously told PRWeek it planned to repitch for the business after the agency issued an RFP in January. The agency could not immediately be reached for comment.
