Corporate bloggers launch professional group

CHICAGO: A group of 12 major companies with corporate blogs has formed a group called the Blog Council, designed to promote best practices in the corporate blogging field. Founding members include Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola, Dell, GM, Microsoft, SAP, and others. The group bills itself as a “professional community” that will allow executives to share knowledge. Its CEO is Andy Sernovitz, former head of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
